I have been having a wonderful time painting chickadees. They are one of my favorite little birds. They are so cute and quite social.
I had a special gift from the Lord the other day. I was painting in my "studio" (lots of laughs) and the windows were open and I heard a chickadee singing to me.

Chickadees are such happy little birds. I think they're probably one of my favorites.

It won't be in the near future...we are on "vacation" this week...but don't have money to really go anywhere. So we are doing fun things together all week. Today we went mini-golfing. Tomorrow we go to a water park. I think hiking is on the list for later this week.
That's such a great idea. I remember my family going on vacation to Portland, OR when we lived in Hood River. It is only about 1 hour drive to Portland. We would stay in a hotel and do "kid" things - movies, zoo, eating out, etc. Nothing that big of a deal. Half the fun was the hotel stay, elevators. Just being the focus of activities was the big hit.
