Night Owl or Morning Dove?

Ok...are you a night owl or a morning dove? I'm a night owl...which I've been ever since I can remember. Even as a kid...I was wide awake at night.

The other night my husband muttered something about being a blog widower as he shuffled off to bed. Uh oh!

The computer never sleeps. I was just conversing with some people in Australia where it is approximately 2:30 in the afternoon as I type this. It is about 12:30 AM here. Yikes...must go to bed so I can be awake enough to get my kids off to school in a few hours!

Cheerio!

So, I see that we were all up late last night, Rachel too. Must be something in the air. I hope you were able to wake up early enough to get your kiddos off to school.

Night Owl or Morning Dove? Hmmm... can I take one of each?

Hello Priscilla.

Can I ask your connection to Australia? And in which part of NY do you live? I am on Manhattan.

It is unusual to meet a NY person in my blogosphere...

Justin.

Hi Justin.

I live in the Finger Lakes Region. So I'm not really a NY person as far as the city goes. It takes about 6 hours for us to drive to NY city.

I don't really have any connections to the Australians I was conversing with last night...I found them via Christine's blog. She is a college friend of my nephew's.

I DO have some friends in the Melbourne area. They are Americans who are living there. They went to my church here before they left.

What's your connection?

Hi Priscilla,

I am an Australian. I grew up in Sydney. I'd best be described as an evangelical and orthodox believing Anglican. I went to seminary at Moore College in Sydney. While I was there, I become good friends with a couple of Americans. One of them got married to his long term American girlfriend in the States in 98. I came for the wedding, and met there the bride's sister. I married her two years later in Atlanta.

We then lived 6 years serving in Sydney. My wife is now a dual citizen as are our kids.

But I accepted a call to our new position in NYC this year.

Hope that helps.

Good to have another New Yorker in my Blog world.

I think I'm more of a night owl, but maybe I've just trained my body that way because Dave likes me to stay up late with him.

Night owl for sure! But I'm attempting to fight it cuz hubby is on a completely different schedule. UGH!

I'm a night owl. It's a problem, because, while my wife and I are both night owls, I'm living in Melbourne while my family lives in New York. This means that I hate waking up early when we're all awake at the same time (they're all morning-doves). The whole time-difference thing is a bit frustrating.

Sometimes I'm a night owl... but only when Adam's a morning dove... Or I am a morning dove, but only when he's a night owl, of course. This can be interesting... or frusterating.
