A Project

Today I decided it was time to do a little project. I decided to paint this lovely bed black. It looked good white...as long as it was going to end up in a girl's room. You know that shabby chic look that's in? But the truth is, this bed wasn't going to work in my 13 year old son's room. Way too girly. So Allen and I went to Lowe's and bought primer and black spray paint.
It's still drying, but here it is so far. We also bought new drawer handles for a little desk that I am also going to paint black for his room. More on that another time!

You are off to a great start. Now if it would only stop raining long enough for the paint to dry.

Good age to do some fixing up in your son's room--hopefully to last through his junior high and high school years.

I know the bed will be throughly enjoyed when it is in the room and decorated with a fluffy comforter.
