I did it!

I did it! I finally started training for the Crosswinds 5k! I am totally out of shape and it is my first time out running in about 2 years. I actually did better than I thought I would. I ran/walked the entire length that I had set out to do...actually running quite a bit of it. I thought that I must have run/walked for at least a half an hour. When I came in, I was a bit amused to find that I had only been out for 17 minutes. Not so great...but it is 17 minutes of exercise that I would not have otherwise had.

Hooray for you!! I haven't been too faithful at the gym lately. I only went once last week and not yet this week. I better get cranking!

I have a hard time getting excited about running. Can't I just walk instead?

Wow, good job!!!! I cannot run. For some reason, it is just too hard, although I was amazed I actually ran about 30 steps yesterday!!! I am a brisk walker. One of my problems is breathing.

Mark and I have been going to the track in Bristol every day we can (weather permitting) and it has made us both feel soooo much better!

Oh thank you for the encouragement. I need it...because I have such a hard time being motivated to do this.

I could give you kick if you'd like.
