Stuck Update

So here is my update on various tidbits of my life:
I found an incredible dresser for Audra on Craigslist. It cost only $30! I'm just so excited about it! I took her out sneaker shopping...but she is difficult to please on my budget. The only ones she liked were $70...but I wouldn't even let her try them on. I wrote the paper and I think I did a good job. I even handed it in one day early! I found someone to interview for another paper I am going to start writing soon. Next week I am going to a high school to discuss a collaborative lesson with a French teacher. (more elephant!) I am officially on break...but that just means that I won't be handing in any assignments next week or going to a class. I will still be doing school work. But...to celebrate: I will be indulging in some reading for recreation. A welcome change from reading textbooks. Alicia is playing a 12 inch viola and will soon move up to the 13 inch. I made pizza for dinner and discovered I had no sauce...so we had garlic pizza. Allen's 14th birthday is Sunday and he's having a bunch of hungry teenage boys over this weekend. And....my dog still adores me even though I haven't taken him for a walk since the other day.

I love your updates. They make me smile and let me know I am not alone in Blogworld. We don't buy the $70 shoes either. Great deal on the dresser! I'm glad the elephant is getting smaller and that Sherman still adores you. :)

Like your new profile picture Priscilla.

Can't believe how expensive things are for our grandchildren....

Good thing I like to go junking...but the granddaughters don't!!

I love to go junking too. My kids don't either.

Hi Priscilla!
I wish you had introduced yourself!!! I was looking around the room in opening and closing wondering to myself, "Now who is Martha's sister and who is her friend that goes here?" I was the woman near the back [not ususally back there, but have been moreso this year] FREEZING her brains out wondering just when-oh-when I would stop shaking like this everyweek. CBS is the coldest place I go! [True, I don't get out much.]
Please say, "Hi!" next time you see me!

I am in Linda's core group - we meet in the green [refrigerator] room.

Payless shoes often has VERY cute sneakers, and that is, in fact, where I have purchased my last two pairs of VERY cute sneakers. And they don't cost anywhere near $70. And they were VERY cute. (Emphasis on the very, because I am such a cool girl and Audra would def. take advice from me... Audra, shop at Payless!)

And I read this post and your last post. I think we all have blogger blues lately.

Well, in Audra's defence, If you use the sneakers to run you have to get ones that fit, give good support.
Audra, I did my best! ( offer to do the laundry for a week see if that will get you a better chance at those sneeks)

Sometimes, Judi, it's just not possible or practical. (Sorry, Audra.)
