Hey, that did look a little like Grandma! Did you notice those kids about to climb in the back of that station wagon at Pittford Plaza? The sign for the Plaza still looks the same! Too funny!
I had to watch it again. I remember that clock. Too bad they didn't show the mall at Christmas time! I'd like to see a video of that.
I had my bank teller training in one of the offices upstairs from the mall in 1989. The funny thing is: everything looks the same...except for the people. I had to smile while trying to imagine the reaction of these people if they could see how some of the people dress today!
I had forgotten about Tom fixing the clock until you mentioned it.
Remember back to school shopping at pittsford plaza? :)
Very interesting video! Thanks for putting it up. I've never been to Midtown Plaza. I read about it...isn't it pretty dead nowadays? Or shall I go and check it out? It is funny to see the cars and how people dressed; it sure makes you feel old. ... I was three in 1963.
That video was so cool! Thanks for telling me to watch it Priscilla! I noticed that the Pittsford Plaza sign hasn't changed--I think it is still the same one. Also, the lady with the scarf, do you mean the little old lady at the checkout? If so, I was thinking that she looked just like my little old Italian grandmother used to look like!
I started working in Midtown Plaza for Xerox in 1984 (we had an office area on the 2nd floor along Clinton Ave; we called it "Wegman's Attic" for Wegmans had a store there in Midtown on the 1st floor).
Back then it was the place to shop at Christmas time.

I could have sworn that I saw Grandma walking by in that video with the scarf on her head. It looked just like her!LOL!
And everyone is white!!!!
Did you know Mom's cousin Tommy once fixed the clock? I'll have to watch it again and look for Grandma.
I think all the non-whites must have lived out here back then... maybe. Why was everyone white anyway?

I only remember the clock and the Christmas tree, but no marionettes. Pretty neat video.

I don't think it is worth going to anymore. I could be wrong I guess. It has been long time since I've been there.
Okay, I doubt Sherman had EVER been to Midtown!
What are you doing for spring break? Maybe we should take the kids on a field trip.
Yeah!
Hehehehe! Thats pretty interesting...of course, I wasn't alive at all in that time period, but......
It's still interesting!!!!
ok...did I comment as Sherman on anyone else's blog today?

Ms.P, you are too funny! You are to young to have AAADD; Age Activated Attention Deficit Disorder :o)
That is just for us old farts.
My son does the "sherman blog' and he must have been on the computer just before me.
Did you see B. Forman Co? Kinda like the park!
Actually, as a kid the park always made me think of the store.
