Happy New Year

As I think about this new year...I'm thinking about how the Lord is continuing to work in me and mold me and make me into the person He desires me to be. I just hope to be as pliable and workable as the clay in this potter's hands.
Wishing you all a Happy 2007!

Happy New Year!

The reason the clay is pliable in the potter's hand is that he keeps pouring the water over the clay. As long we stay in the water of God's word He can mould and shape us. Pretty cool analogy, but not my own.

It is a cool analogy- did you take this photo? Do you throw pots?

I got it off of creative commons.

Martha throws pots. (duck!!!! Ha ha!)

Martha would like to throw pots but has only taken one six week class.

I haven't done pottery for years. My ex-mother-in-law (I call her my outlaw) and I built* a kick wheel, dug our own clay, processed it, threw pots and sold it at a local gallery in ND one summer. That was fun.

(*Ok, we just drew up plans and had dad & grandpa actually build the thing.)
