Dishwasher Girl

Here at my house we have the kids take turns washing the dishes after dinner. They think this is paramount to child abuse. Tonight was Alicia's turn. This will be a picture she will treasure as an adult someday.

Steven said, "I'm surprised she knows...". I said , "What"? He didn't say anything after that. I think he was going to say, "I'm surprised she knows how". I'm afraid now that maybe HE doesn't. Now HE has a new job! Thanks Priscilla!

I'm sure Alicia will 4ever treasure that picure!

People who have dishwashers are soooooooo lucky!!!!! And they don't even know it. In my home & careers class the other day my group didn't even know how to wash them. I had to take over they were so ridiculus!!!!!

It is a crying shame when teenagers don't know how to wash dishes. And... dishes washers aren't necessarily all they're cracked up to be. In order for them to work properly you need water pressure. God must have been smiling when Pastor Roger gave James the dishwasher. The silly thing is portable, hooks up to my kitchen sink and takes two hours to run. Finding a kid to wash them is much quicker!

PS Someday she might even thank you that she knows how to wash dishes. (Allen will too.)

Sorry I had to delete that last comment (after typing in the word ver. 4 times!). It had my password right on top!

yes diswashers....ay vey!
my little 4yr old LOVEs to "play" in the sink, pretending to wash the dishes.... so I put the pans and stuff in the sink so they soak under her comand. she thinks its fun and my pans get a good soaking.
the boy is now learning how to set the table and clear it off,
alicia is very cute! nice hair!

She wasn't really miserable. She actually was in pretty good spirits. I surprised her with the picture and when she looked up, her expression appeared rather solemn. Actually, I vaguely remember her singing a little as she did them.

cute photo.

There was a dishwasher in the place we moved in too - it is such a luxury. I love it.

I miss having a dishwasher because it is a good place to stick dirty dishes. I don't mind washing them- just not right now.

I am embarrassed to admit once I put a stack of dirty dishes in the oven when I didn't have time to wash them before company arrived.
