A Whole Lot of Nothing

Kim asked me what I've been doing since the kids went to school. That would be yesterday and today. Well...I'm ashamed to admit that I really haven't been doing much. I've been a bit unproductive and lazy. Oh I've done a few dishes, a load of laundry, a couple of errands, a small amount of sewing, walked the dog, blogged, read a short novel...what else?

I need to get used to this again. It seems very quiet here. I've had a pretty full house all summer. Not only my kids, but other kids I've been watching. Now it's just me and Sherm. I know things'll start picking up. I do have things to do. Maybe I just needed a couple of days to catch my breath?

Isn't this picture horrible of me? Allen took it and I almost deleted it. It's certainly not very flattering...but I guess it's an honest look at the way I've been yesterday and today.

You and Sherm look good to me, restive. We all "deserve a break today" . :)

I agree, not the best picture of you, you look sleepy. I'm glad you're having some time to relax a bit, there's nothing wrong with that!

Enjoy the piece and quietness of your house; the school day is over quickly!!

Why don't you come over and take a nap? (I am kidding!) You'll get back into the routine again and find something productive to do. Catch your breath first.

When I saw this photo I thought, hey that could've been me yesterday, except I was napping on the couch and I'm sure my dog was sleeping somewhere nearby too.

There is nothing wrong with taking it easy now and then. At least you got a few little things done. Sometimes that's all you need to do.

You probably need to take it easy for awhile. Holidays are tiring times.
Your son looks so much like you.

Oh Jenny! That's not her son, that's her dog! (ha ha)

Priscilla, I think that is a lovely picture. It may not be one of your best photos but everything is so nicely color coordinated. The cool colors and somber expressions on both you and Sherman communicate a calm quiet. (I can't quite explain it...) But I like it.

Good job, Allen!

Wow, even your clothes and Sherman's collar are color coordinated with your surroundings.

Yeah...I tend to like blues. Do you like my "hat" in the picture? LOL!

Hi Aunt Priscilla... If you ever need something to do, you could always visit me! Wednesday or Friday, Mom could come too and we could do lunch.

Bethany, that would be great! I would love it!

I think it's a great picture of you, and I like your lifestyle right now....Very inviting. Nice dog too.

LOL! I would agree, it's not the most flattering of you. Your expression looks a bit dull. But Sherman looks great!

Nah, I agree with everyone else. You'll get it in gear after a while. A few days off are good for you.

I wish I had a sliver of that.....
