First Day of School

Today is the first day of school. Everyone seemed excited, although they insisted they didn't want to go back.
I'll be putting my little next door neighbors on the bus in the morning since their mom leaves for work a half hour before the bus comes. They are cute kids and they are used to me.

Allen did not want his picture taken.

I was chasing him while taking this one as he rode off on his bike. I think he was amused. He goes to the middle school and does not take a bus.

What cute pictures. Someday they will be a fun memory. Hey, everyone's smiling, well, almost everyone.

What cute pictures of the first day of school! I forgot to take pictures of my boys this year. I will take them tomorrow and pretend that it was the first day.

I've always been so bad about getting my kids pictures on the 1st day of school, I wish I was better. The only year that I actually got pictures was each of their 1st years. Your pics are great!

Fun pictures!
We had a first day of school tradition of taking pictures (individually and group) of the kids every year in the same spot in the house, by the built-in buffet. This was our last year.
: ) : (
The "see-how-they've-changed photos" were (and will be for my senior!) fun to display at their graduation parties.

"I was chasing him" - funny.
They do look happy (for going back to school). I never wanted to go but was always afraid that I would miss something. Good idea, Joeks.

Nice photos, especially the bike photo turned out great with the motion.
I am glad Allan is in a lot of M. classes, at least she knows somebody!!
M. really didn't want to go to school, but heh, we can't always have what we want!!

I laughed when you said you were chasing him to get his photo. These are all nice pictures. I hope they had a nice first day. What did you do while they were at school?

Am I seeing things to think that your daughter on the left in the top picture resembles Bethany a little bit??

Kim, I ashamed to admit this...but I didn't so a whole lot of anything for these last two days. A little laundry, a little sewing, a few dishes, an errand or two, and quite a bit of reading. Not all my days are like this. I'll admit that it felt strangely quiet.

Heather, I'm not sure. I've never seen much of a resemblance...but maybe you are seeing something I'm not.

I like the pigtails on Audra. That's really nice that you can get the neighbor kids off to school too.
