Almost there!
I am almost finished with library school. In the fall, I will begin my practicum at two different schools. I think it is going to be an amazing experience. I really want to be the best librarian I can be. The budget in NY state is not very good lately. There has been some budget cutting. Unfortunately, school libraries have not always received the respect due to them. Sometimes school boards think that they should save money be eliminating the school librarian's position. They think that the job can be done by an aide instead. Consequently, the job market has gotten a little tough. I seem to have an uncanny knack for trying to enter the job market when things look bad.
No matter...I will persevere. God didn't bring me this far just to let me hang.
Now I'm just anxious to start working as a real librarian. I feel like with God's help, I am ready!

I love your photo. I never could resist a good children's book. Maybe I'm a little like my parents that way.
I'm glad there is a light a the end of the tunnel and that you are enjoying the journey.
Congratulations...you are so close. The Librarian at the Library where two of my grandsons go is one of their dearest friends.
A lot of kids are fortunate you decided to become a Librarian.
There's always a Public Library too. We have gotten lots of help at the Webster Public Library when it comes to choosing a good book for summer reading, or just plain fun reading.
I'm glad you're in the home stretch!
God has given you the desire to be not "just" a librarian, but the best! Know that He will open the doors for you!!! How happy you must be to see the end coming into view!!!!
Hi Priscilla, My name is Elizabeth, i have occassionally been reading your blog. I found it through Ruth Barry's blog. I decided to write a comment because I am currently finishing off my library technician course and will be finishing in June.I don't know that many librarians so I thought it would be nice to make contact with someone who knows about libraries and stuff.
God bless, Elizabeth
Oooo, so close. :) It's an exciting prospect, a new adventure lurking around the corner... I hope it's easy for you to bust into a new job!!
