Today is the first day of school here in town. Now I have two middle schoolers. Everyone seemed excited (but not to have their pictures taken necessarily). I didn't have to drag anyone out of bed this morning. I didn't have to nag everyone to "hurry" or "brush your teeth"...everyone seemed anxious to do that on their own. No worries about leaving on time or missing the bus this morning. *sigh* Some things never last long.
Only one left in the elementary school.

You are so good about getting pictures of your kids on the first day of school. The only time I ever did that was when they started Kindergarten and first grades. They all look wonderful!
LOL, Martha! Actually the house is a disaster! When I looked at the pictures this morning I noticed how clean the kitchen looked in that one. Atleast in that corner!!!! I didn't even strategically have them pose there!

This was the first fall since M. started Kindergarten in 1989 that I haven't needed to take first-day-of-school pictures of someone. I always took them in the same spot in the dining room, by the buffet, so it was kind of like a growth chart for each of them by the time of their graduations.
