Eating! One of those activities that brings people together. What is it about food that bonds people? Yesterday I had to go to a meeting at the University of Buffalo for a class I am taking. I was in a room full of people I didn't know. We took notes and listened to the instructor, asked questions and jotted down more notes. The meeting ended at noon. Perfect time for lunch. A bunch of us decided to go out to lunch together.
By the end of lunch, we were laughing like old friends and some of us even exchanged phone numbers. It was nice to put a face to the names I have seen on my online courses.
I just love these pictures of Allen and Alicia at the state fair eating BLT sandwiches. We had become separated from Audra and Jamie...so we ate without them. Alicia and I shared a sandwich since they were pretty big.
I think I need to do lunch more often with friends. I've been feeling a bit separated from them lately.

Oh, how nice! I'm glad you are able to do this. Eating can be pretty fun ;)
I think you should do calligraphy! What a great skill to have and to make money at! :)
I agree. Sharing a meal really does bring people together and it's a great way to keep in touch with friends:)
I hope you have an easier time finding both the time and someone else who has it to meet for lunch. It is a great way to connect with friends if it can be coordinated.

I so miss eating without a child to feed. Just having a meal and a conversation that doesn't include: "If you set your cup on your tray, we will clap for you" or "Hugo had his own food, that is yours". No, we don't get out much.
Very cool that you met your classmates from your on-line course.
Handsome kids!!
