A nice visit

Some of you will recognize this picture from Dunja's blog. (I am using it with permission) I went to her house this afternoon for coffee and visit. We really had a nice time together. Her 'Apfel Kuchen' was delicious too. Of course the best part one another's company.

I'm looking forward to having coffee again with her some time.

This looks like fun. Reminds me to take better care of the friends I have nearby. It is easier to check in with you guys- just read the blogs than it is to call up my old friends and try to get together.

Hey, one of the reasons I chose my current church was a fabulous bible teacher who is now considering a call to Penfield NY. Is that anywhere near you?

Yes! It is very near us! In fact my father graduated from Penfield High School in 1949. I went to a different school district which actually included part of the town of Penfield. If you stepped outside of my neighborhood on the south side, and crossed the road...you were in Penfield.

Which church? I attended a church in Penfield as a kid...but it no longer exists. (The building was sold to the Rochester Chinese Christian Church.)

Oh yeah...I forgot to mention that my husband and I were married at a church in Penfield.

I am sure it is a Lutheran Church. I think it was called 'Faith'. Well that's a weird coincedence then.

I know exactly where that church is! When I was little, I was in a church choir and we sang at that church once.

Also...when I was about 11 or 12, I went there with a friend to help babysit kids in the nursury for some special event. She was nervous about babysitting them by herself and her mother suggested she ask me to go along.

Wow! The world is smaller than we think.
