Come unto me and I will give you rest....

Today I went over to visit Martha. On the way there, I was getting sleepier and sleepier as I was driving. I was getting very scared. I was not very safe on the roads! My head kept nodding! It was scary, but the Lord got me there safely (and all the other drivers out today were safe from me too). I went in her house and felt such a heavy fatigue that I had to lay down. This was the result. Good ol' Martha with her faithful camera! Actually, it's not a bad shot of me.

I was already asleep when she brought me coffee. I slept quite a long time and felt very refreshed. We had a nice visit, albeit shorter...but I was ready and alert for the drive home!

I think she takes way more pictures than I do!!! Too funny. But glad you got there safe and had a nice visit.

How scary that you were nodding off while you were driving! I'm so glad you made it there safely! Why were you so sleepy, stay up a little too late?

Some good ways to stay awake while driving: jawbreakers, Mountain Dew, open the window, find a classic rock station and turn it up, more Mountain Dew, get some gas even if you're not empty yet, find a rest area to sleep in, find a country station and try to sing along (even if you don't know the words). Sometimes I just relax and then I have more energy to focus.

I'm on a roll with this "sleepy photo" thing...

Anybody else sleepy?

This is really funny! Is there something special in the air at your sister's house that makes people fall asleep? Maybe a little more oxygen?? Hahaha. The couch looks comfy though.

I don't know. She really does have a nice cozy house...out in the country, woodburning stove, great couch...

My sister sleeps a lot- she was just diagnosed with mono.

Usually if I am tired & driving, sun flower seeds help.

How long does it take to drive from your place to Martha's ??

In Australia, we have a 'stop, revive, survive' road campaign. We are encrouaged to stop driving every two hours, and go for a walk or something. I don't know many people who do that though!

Glad you were safe. I've been known to drive to my sister's house and end up sleeping there.

It takes about 40 minutes to drive to Martha's house.
