Something Needs to Give

I'm really interested in the minimalist lifestyle. I could see myself totally paring down to only the necessities. It's just hard to do when no one else is with me on it. I could even see myself living in a smaller house. Not a tiny house...while I like looking at tiny houses, I'm not interested in living in one. Small, yes....but not tiny. Right now my house isn't even that big. About 1500 square feet.

Today's sermon went right along with what I've been thinking about a lot lately. One thing I did was disable my Facebook account. That was yesterday.

It just seems like I don't do anything that really matters anymore.

You work full time. That has to count for something. Think of all the lives you touch.

Oh yes. My work at the HS does matter. I am thankful for that. I was actually thinking of my down time. When I have down time I don't do anything any,ore that is of substance. I can find no motivation for playing the piano or artwork. I have become very apathetic.

Don't be depressed! Pray for opportunities. If they are a long time coming, work on learning patience! Maybe start reading through the Bible. Another good hobby is cooking, and then finding ways to share what you make with others, either in delivering meals or having people over. There's so much good to be done -- just stick your toe in a little bit to find out where you fit.
