Up up and away

These pictures were taken a week ago on a ski lift in our area. The colors this fall have not been as impressive as other years. First of all, we are not at the peak of the colors...and what colors we do have simply are not as bright as other years. I think it is because of the warmer autumn we have been having. It was a beautiful day on the ski lift. Allen does not like heights that much and was happy to reach the ground. I don't really mind the heights. I thought it was beautiful and peaceful. You can't really tell by the pictures that we were really up quite high. But we really were. Hope everyone is doing well. It has been busy at my house. We are having a new heating system installed in our house...which is turning it a bit upside down.

We had a very beautiful and longer summer than normal! I wish we could have a warm fall and the beautiful colors, but I guess that's not the way it works. Your view from the lift looks nice!

You are so brave!! My feet never leave the ground. Well, cars and trains. I'm missing some good views I guess.

I would do a ski lift again.

The leaves here aren't as great this year either. I haven't even taken any photos.

I love chair lifts. I'm not very happy really high up, either, but I survive. It's the global warming that's making it so warm that the trees aren't turning as fast as they should.....I strongly dislike global warming. If it were up to me people would still drive carrages and live like pilgrims...:-) haha

Looks like fun... Was that at Bristol?

If I distracted myself with taking pix I just might be able to handle the ski lift... I love rollercoasters and fast moving rides that whip you upside down and what-not... but slow moving things like ski lifts and ferris wheels are tougher... Too much time to think!

The height wouldn't bother me but the brisk wind might make me wish for a warmer jacket. The colors should be getting more brilliant now that we have had some colder nights.

It's so fun to do those chair lifts in the summer. I have been on them with people who were afraid of heights. I have excellent distraction skills. :o)
