Old Family Photo

This is a picture of my grandparents, my Mother and 2 older brothers. Hanging out on the swingset in the back yard of the house I grew up in. I'm guessing it was taken in about 1959. Now a days, you can't even see the fence anymore. There are evergreens planted along it now and they have grown quite tall. Three of the people in this picture are in Heaven now. Grandma and Grandpa...and Dan(on the teeter-totter). My mother is almost 73 now and must be on oxygen 24 hours a day. She carries a tank of oxygen everywhere she goes. Wow. Time really changes things. It keeps marching on. Which is why I am glad I have hope in the Lord.

Really nice picture. I was graduating from highschool in 1959.

Time really does change things. Check out my blog. I found a picture of me snuggling with Bethany when she was about 2 or 3 yrs. old. To think that now she is married and expecting her 1st baby is mind boggling.

Pictures are bittersweet. Even though times and people have changed, the memories still make me smile. We had a wonderful childhood.

Let's see... where was I in 1959? Oh yeah, I wasn't born yet!

Hi. I love looking back on old photos - especially with granparents in them.
Recently I have been remembering what my paternal grandpa looked like, because whenever I see my dad, he looks just like him now.
Sorry about your mum's health.

On another note, yes those are my very own bags, or my Mum's bags. I conned her into helping me set up a little handmade bag buisness. She is a much faster sewer than I am.

I hope your son enjoyed the camp.
