Must have been before my time. ;)

I always loved that one! I can almost sing it by myself and it brings back great memories. Other favorites were B is For Bubble and M-M-M Martha! and of course C is for Cookie.

Shelly was probably off playing softball when Seasme Street was on. Or maybe she forgot to sit down and watch it when her own kids were small.

Shelly I don't remember it either, and you and I are the same age so I think it was before our time.

I knew you'd remember it, Mart!

I'm not from the 1970's but even I remember that video!!!!! I used to love Sesame Street when I was little. I saw that clip once or twice....man, the things you remember....
:) (I sound too old now!) :)

Now I watched Sesame many many times when I was little and when my kids were little, but I don't ever remember seeing that video, although the song sounds slightly familiar. Dave and the boys don't remember it either. It's a really cute video. How about putting on a Bozo the Clown video, I remember him! Haha!

My family is walking around singing this song now.

GREAT ! I love dollhouses and I love cats. But I don´t know this video. Oh, I read by Martha it´s from Sesame Street. But I guess in Germany we got "Sesam Strasse" only since 1972.

Luna, I didn't expect you to be familiar with the video....but something told me you'd like it.

Mellimouse, I didn't know they showed it later. That must have been when we lived out on E. road where there was zero reception for TV!

They bring those old ones back once in a great while. You have to be a really dedicated Sesame Street watcher or else have at least a half a dozen kids!

"Can't you see? There's a bird on me?'

I guess so...It must have been a rerun. I just loved that video when I was little though!

This is really fun to see. Although, I can't say I remember it. The cats coming in the house cracked me up.

I don't remember that specific video, but I'll guarantee you that I was a dedicated SS watcher. I'm told I watched the same episodes three times each day and was able to quote most of it by the third time... I had all the alphabet records on 45s. I liked Grover and Ernie the best. I remember being terribly distraught that no one but Big Bird could see Snuffy. 'sniff'.

Do you remember The Electric Company? I liked that one a lot too.

I confess, I wasn't a big fan of Sesame Street until I was an adult. I would get so frustrated that they would interrupt the story to count or say their abc's or do some other ditty. I wanted to just get on with the story already!! LOL. As an adult I appreciated some of the humor that the kids don't get. :)

To those of you who don't know, we forgive T. for her spelling because she is deaf in one ear. She spells phoneticlly, romber is romper. I, on the other hand, am just lazy ! LOL

I never watched much Romper Room but I do remember Kukla, Fran and Ollie and The Friendly Giant.

I must have watched a later version od K, F, & O because I wasn't even born when they stopped the program. Maybe they were just specials I remember? Fran was older then but the puppets looked the same.

Priscilla said...

Mart,
I remember watching K,F&O too.

I know this video from long ago, too! I think they kept showing it as re-runs. Very nice!
