Spring Cookies

Today was a snow day for the kids. I have lived in this area for my whole life and I never remember there being a snow day in April. This weather is getting way out of hand. We all had cabin fever here. Alicia said she was bored and then she asked if we could make cookies. I asked her what kind. She said, "The kind we make at Christmas. With the frosting." I just can't imagine what made her think about Christmas! LOL!

Anyway...I have a flower cookie cutter, so we made the spring version of the frosted sugar cookie. The girls helped me frost them tonight.

Snow day? We mostly had rain. Our grass may have a slight dusting, if that. Our kids went to school today, but I'm sure they wished they had a snow day.
Your cookies look scrumptious and fun! You're such a good mom!

Oh by the way, the year we moved into our new house we had an ice storm (a bad one) in April and the kids missed a couple days of school.

I thought of the ice storm too, so we have had weather related days off school in April. What a mess that was!

I had a day off yesterday too 'cause the Finger Lakes Community College was closed. Troy's daddy got to stay home.

The homeschoolers didn't have a snow day! ;) We made pita bread (studying the Phonecians). It was yummy but those cookies look mighty good!!
