I don't think that type is very common in Oregon.

Did anyone watch that show on PBS a few years ago where three families signed up to live the homestead lifestyle for ? months? (don't remember how long it was, but it was through the winter). It was fascinating. And one of the things that stood out to me was that the men all reflected on the experience positively, while the women did not. The men had been building things, growing things and had a satisfaction of seeing the fruit of their hard work. The women had spent the time with unending drudgery of cleaning, cooking and tending their families with no modern conveniences. Very different experiences.Tracyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02301219387023496893noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19844602.post-40491480833159214302007-06-08T13:19:00.000-04:002007-06-08T13:19:00.000-04:00Interesting and fun.Interesting and fun.judi/Gmjhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08758419906885139018noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19844602.post-77280779185727976202007-06-08T12:34:00.000-04:002007-06-08T12:34:00.000-04:00I do love to 'romanticize' those times.... but I ...I do love to 'romanticize' those times.... but I will spare you the conversation that Martha and I had earlier today 'bout them and why I really would NOT want to live back then.
