Today there was no school because of subzero windchill. That means I have 6 kids in the house. Three of my own, two who are staying here while their parents are in Hawaii, and a neighbor who's mom had to work.
Allen and Sam are studying volcanoes in school and must each build one of their own. I figured today might be a good opportunity for them to work on it. Allen concentrates on his recreation of Mt. Versuvius.

ReplyDeleteThey will be active. In school they will "erupt" with a mixture of vinegar and baking soda.

I think ours is the only district that had school today. Brrr.....
ReplyDeleteI can't help but think of the Brady Bunch when I think of making volcanoes; Marcia's new friends (who were quite snooty) got all dirty and Marcia laughed about it. I'm sure the kids had fun. Hopefully it will warm up soon!

ReplyDeleteThe volcanoes look GREAT! I had Brian do one when he was around 5 or so. But they weren't nearly so complicated as those.
ReplyDeleteOur kids both had to do a volcano project too. I remember erupting one of them at home 1st, and it shot so high and came down all over my butter, which was sitting on the counter on a butter dish.
